Boot Camp Coach

From a young age, Tess was always in her parent's basement gym, working out with her brother and dad. Growing up, she continued working with a personal training and doing bootcamp style workouts - perhaps foreshadowing her run-in with CrossFit.

As a freshman in high school, she ran cross country, played basketball and rowed. With a voracious appetite for testing her limits, Tess gave up the running and basketball playing to pursue year-round training for rowing. By her senior spring season in 2011, Tess went undefeated in a lightweight double, setting a course record in the Stotesbury Cup, the largest high school regatta in the country. Tess was recruited to the George Washington University in Washington, DC to row. However, by the beginning of 2012, Tess' father convinced her to try CrossFit. Coach Chris worked with Tess doing personal training and soon attended regular group classes.

In January 2016, Tess began working on the marketing team at CrossFit DC. Shortly after, she got her L1 and started running the boot camp program with Coach Steve.
