You don't need to be in shape at all (really!).  Most people starting at CrossFit DC consider themselves "out of shape". We help people of all fitness levels learn proper technique and ramp up their fitness level at an appropriate pace.  Now's a great time to start on a path to better fitness. How will I know if CrossFit DC is a good fit?

We welcome people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.  All we ask is you come with a positive attitude.  The only way to find out if our community and approach to fitness is right for you, though, is to try.

What is CrossFit and is it safe? 

Yes! CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. Functional movements are those you do every day such as sitting down, standing up and reaching overhead. Our coaches demonstrate each movement and correct technique throughout the lifts and workouts.
