Knocked off another of the Crossfit North level 3 standards today. Although I had not tried 100 double 16kg Kettlebell Clean and Jerks for time, it was not a real challege to complete in under 10 minutes. The thing here is, I am way far away from the 1/2 bodyweight Thruster for 45 reps. Thats one of the work capacity standards in level 2. There are several factors involved. One, although the total work output seems to be more in the level 3 task, it can be broken up (as I understand it), while the thrusters has no time limit, but is a continuous set. The other issue for me, is that I am more efficient with kettlebells than with the bar.

So, I need to work that Thruster challenge. While my wrist is till banged up, I can modify it and use dumbells. I’ll report on the progress as I go.

Tom, where do you find the levels your talking about?

  2. Jen says:

I found them @ CF North. Now can you tell me are there time limits for lets say the 100 squats or the dips? Are there more rules? It’s good that I found this I need some goals. Overall my goal is just to be more fit and healthy but I need a kick in the ass challenge.

Apparently Dave W. made a mistake in his standards list. so it’s actually 150 not 100.
