If you have a pair of rings, its time to start finding new ways to ue them. There are hundreds of gymnastic moves, most of which I am uncapable of performing. Thats doesn’t limit me, just gives me more to work towards. One of the standard strength moves on the rings is dips. I have a hard time getting any decent ROM on these, as I have poor shoulder flexibility (penance for years of benching). As I need to improve this, I spent the majority of todays training time using the rings to stretch. Lots of time spent with my feet supporting some bodyweight in the lowest position of the dip, and kneeling dropping my body away from the rings.

So, test out your equipment. Work on your weaknesses. Get stronger, move better and have fun!

    It’s Tom!

Tom! Hope all is well. Was trying
this move on the rings today –

Which means I was flopping around on the rings trying not to dislocate my shoulder. Hah.

Anyways, I’m looking to get some hardware and suspend Balance’s rings from the ceiling, hopefully by next week. This will open up a lot more possibilities. If you have any suggestions for that, let me know.

Good luck with your training, see you in the gym!
