Working with the rugby team tonight, I realized how much I think the sessions will help them. Not that I can make them that great, but that they are putting in the work together. The physical benefits of 1 session a week will be noticable, but the real deal will be the attitude that comes from working as a team. At one of the CrossFit certs, coach quoted one of the participants (An Army SF captain I belive) “suffering plus laughter equals comraderie”. Perhaps not an exact quote, but you get the idea.
Thanks for helping us out Tom. All of us at Washington Rugby Club are very grateful. We’ll be a lot fitter and stronger as a result come the spring.
fitness is the key. the core work stuff is great. I think it will help much in terms of being able to deliver max power in short movements..ie exploding in the tackle. we have got work to do, let’s get everyone out and get working! Great hard stuff.
