I have been thinking about the logic of a 5 on 2 off schedule. The second rest day really can help fully recoup, but I must be too ADD to make it work. Yesterday was a rest day, and I was totally ready to get back to training today. Having a great group to train on Sundays gets me inspired, and this week was a great effort. Isn’t this stuff fun?

Today was a mishmash of rowing, ring dips (my nemesis) and Deadlifts, all working on fine tuning my technique. Tommorrow will be back to full speed conditioning.

Good to see you’re working the weaknesses… How are those pullups coming along, Tom?

Strong work on the OH squats, by the way. You’re doing 3×5 with my 3RM…. Although I haven’t done much ME work on those recently. Off to the gym!

Keep working hard, don’t forget to use those Kegs once in awhile >;)

Great to hear from you. I haven’t maxed my pullups recently, but did go up to a 24 kg Kb for weighted pullups on Saturday after grappling. A few doubles, and a bunch of singles. Whats going on in Korea?

Hey Adam, this is Russ. You’ve got some catching up to do on those OHS’s. I did 165 for 4X3 yesterday. I am nowhere near your 475 lb. deadlift though. How are the girls there treating you?

Russ, I’ve been doing OHS usually before my FS workouts for a while now. Nothing more than a 5×5 or 7×3 usually. I’ve been avoiding the temptation of moving the hands out to make it eaiser. Do you take it out of the rack and behind-the-neck push-press for your heavier sets, or snatch for each set?

Tom, good stuff with the pullups, I found that alternating weighted pullups on the rings with higher rep kipping pullups in the WOD’s helped me the most, and also helped prevent and elbow/shoulder issues.

    Also, it’s now a 490 lb. deadlift :p

I want a picure with 5 plates on the bar!!! Thats awesome, keep it up. Russ and I will race to a 225 OHS.

I do behind the neck push presses.

165 OHS (PR!) Last week I went to a gym on another post, and they had some heavy dumbbells collecting dust. Worked up to 3 singles (each hand) 130lb C&J

    140lbs next time….
