After some more thought on yesterdays post, I realized to just let people do there own thing Last thing I need to worry about people scared of the mythically deadly squat. Instead of wasting time trying to convince these suckers, I took my frustrations out on the unsuspecting participants in tonights workout.
The Burning Ring of Tabata Fire
10 stations, 6 sets at each, 20 seconds work/ 10 seconds rest
Scored for lowest number scored at each station
Total low scores
Steve WSC 62
Tuba Steve 59
No Fun 56
Seth 42 First Class!!!
Denise and Ilia were late, so were punished by doing tabata pushups, squats situps, burpees, rowing, thrusters, push presses, and swings, but without scoring. Not really punishment, but because I couldnt keep track of their #s.
It was like you read my mind. On my way in to the gym I was hoping for Tabata someting. I got it! It felt good to be back in the ring of hurt. I had to make a lot of ajustments do to my everlasting shoulder injury but it was workable and fun.
Tom, you have no idea how peeved I was to be late!!! I thought class started at 7:30. Have I gotten my times wrong??
Btw, Ilya said his left arm (weaker, cuz it has no purpose for fencing) was trembling all the way home. HEEEEEE!!!! Life’s a bitch, and then you die. 🙂
It was my first time doing kettle bell swings. Those were fun!! I have to watch my form when I’m tired, though, cuz I noticed that my lower back started protesting. and jumping pull-ups after class??? your eeeeevil… I like!
How about renaming the workout Golden Tabata Delight?
I did a 5 station Tabata and it was brutal…I can’t even imagine the pain that must be the 10 station Tabata monster. Tom, you seem like a very nice guy, but you clearly have a sadistic streak!! Just kidding – nice work!
i havent been this sore since i started class!
fred needs to lay off the red bull b4 class! whats up with that score! nice goin!
i still think we should have a “free class if you barf” rule.
