Workout for May 8th, 2008
Warm-up: 2 minutes of skipping rope.
While the crazy metcon workouts are the staple of class, the focus of tonight’s class was primarily strength work. In particular we worked on the BACK SQUAT. Emphasis was on keeping an upright posture. Before loading the bars everyone did 10 reps with the empty bar.
Workout: 5×5 Back Squat, work up to your 5RM

John: 135lb, 185lb, 205lb, 225lb, 250 lb
Tom: 135lb, 185lb, 205lb (for 4 reps), 225lb (for 4 reps), 250 (for 4 reps)
Reggie: 135lb, 185lb, 205lb, 225lb, 250 lb
Monica: 95lb, 115lb, 120lb, 125lb, 130lb
Ami: 95lb, 115lb, 120lb, 125lb, 130lb
Maiko: 95lb, 115lb, 120lb, 125lb, 130lb
130lb was still manageable for Monica so she loaded the bar and cranked out 5 reps at 155! Ami got a shot at 155lb too, and got one good rep.
