Tuesday night was time for another birthday workout! This time it wasn’t for one of our crew, but for Coach Mike Burgener. Via the magic of Facebook, I noticed that he was turning 63, so we celebrated in style. What does Coach B love? Olympic lifting! What does he dole out like candy on Halloween? Burpees!

Great class, it felt really good to be back and getting my ass kicked.
I was in a team with Andraea, Monica and Sara. Everybody looked strong and did great. I think my numbers for the 3 rounds are 11/32, 10/26 and 11/27.
As I laid there after the 3rd round, Andraea told me that I might have just burned off one breakfast I ate in Paris. Little does she know how much I ate. If she’s talking about the morning where I ate an entire baguette sandwich, a croissant and some pastries for breakfast, then I might’ve burned 1/10 of that off.
loved that workout. Noticed how I could crank out 6 reps of the clean and jerk without getting too tired, but when I put the bar down to rest for 2 seconds it became impossible to do more than one rep at a time after that…became too damn tired! Funny how you don’t get tired until you stop to rest.
Another Great class. Great job to everyone in my group. You guys rock. We hit 85lbs C&Js. I got 10/22 for each of the 3 rounds.
@Maiko – Did you hit Nancy last night? If yes, How did it go?
Nah, no Nancy. Wasn’t in the mood for any sort of metcon so I did some quickie workout from CFSouth Brooklyn (5x 10 pull-ups & 5 OHS *challenging weight of course*) and then hit some back squats. I was in a funk, but the back squats put me in a better mood fast! Love me some weight lifting!

Made good progress on ROM, not so much on weight
Ran into Monica abnd Steve O monday at the globo and she and I did 5 rounds of 30 DU/5 Bears.
Enjoyed learning the bear, and um, it’s definitely time to return to practice of double unders. They needed work, badly. Good workout though.

Wow, I was surprissed at how difficult the thursters were after the row and by the time I got to the pull-ups I was beat.
Did a fun one at the track last night outside courtusy of the imagaination of a one Coach Brose.
5 burpees and 10 situps on the minute for 20 minutes.
ok, it wasn’t fun but felt good to have done.
