Double under time! For those in class with double unders good to go, the workout was:
5 rounds
40 double unders
30 squats
20 pushups

For some of the more double under frustrated, they got their work in without a meltdown:
5 rounds
40 squats
30 pushups
20 double unders

Everyone got to grab a heavy set of DBs, and head out to the parking lot for some farmers walks. DBs were to be (total) around 2/3 BW, and no puting them down in the middle. 10 minutes, as many trips across the lot (30 yards?) as possible.

Have fun over the next few classes, see you all in about two weeks!

    Have a safe trip Tom!

Ah, more double unders. Thanks to the unique set-up, I was actually able to participate in the second part of class. Dbl unders are actually coming along.

did the Farmers Walks with 75lb dbs and made 10 complete trips. Carried them on my shoulders once, and decided that was actually more work (especially after dropping one my toe trying to put them down)

with Brose away, that would mean its time for the Red Viking and Opiyo show; let the pain and suffering begin.

SO I got stuck in the 40 double under group. My double unders are getting better but they are still my worst of those 3 exercises. Round one and two seemed ok but after that I really struggled to get 40 DUs.

I don’t know how many farmers walks I finish I couldn’t count. I was just trying not to drop the 45 lb DBs. I tried carrying them on my shoulders once but that seemed even more difficult.

Man, oh man! Another hot, muggy, crappy evening to be in the gym! 🙂

I struggled with my double-unders (again). Then I got frustrated to the point of just jumping rope. Can anyone say “goat?” 🙂

But the frustration didn’t end there: I used a pair of 70# dumbbells for the outdoor farmer’s walk. After lap three (or four…I can’t remember), my left forearm was getting weak(er). I ended up doing six laps in the ten-minute span (and, yes, I did drop the weights a couple of times. So I owe twenty burpees…sue me).

Anyway, just another CrossFit DC ass-kicking workout. 🙂

CFDC’s own ODB is…anticipating Steve O.’s Sunday workout.
