Big weekend for CFDC! First, and most importantly congratulations to John and Jane Frazer on the birth of their daughter Eloise Redman Frazer.
Next up, Reggie stepped up for his first Powerlifting meet, and pulled a 440 Lb deadlift PR! Not only that, he brought home a trophy, and still made it out to support everyone at the DC/VA/WV Sectionals.
Finally, we had a great showing in a very tough competition. Dan and Josh Courage both finished in the top 20, moving on to the Regionals in Ohio, with Sara finishing just out of the running. Steve O, Tom A, and Mark all pushed themselves to the limit, and came out with some great scores. Steve also edited some great videos of the action, which I hope to post soon.
Thanks to everyone who participated, as competitors as well as supporters.

Thanks for the shout out to the winner-to-be of the 2022 CF Games. For now, she has other uses for her lung power, though.
I was moving heaven and earth to make it to Sunday’s class (forgot about the sectionals) but it turned out we had a catch-up childbirth class scheduled … then it turned out that young E had other plans for all of us. (BTW don’t expect a Zone diet (let alone paleo) out of the Sibley Hospital cafeteria.)
Great job to everyone on this very busy weekend.
Congrats to everyone who competed this weekend. So sorry I wasn’t able to come out and support. I can’t wait to hear the stories. Unfortunately, won’t be able to make it back to class until next Thurs. See you all then.
I hope no one thinks it’s overly optimistic to expect my daughter to sweep the CF Games at age 12. Oops – arithmetic fail.
Congrats John! CFDC’s will be laying waste to the rest of us in no time (wouldn’t be all that surprised to see an under-18 CF Games by 2022, so 12 would be just right)
Also , Congrats to Reggie and Jim for rockin’ out at their lifting comp (pic of one sweet trophy to follow in the next posting I believe).
And finally, congrats to everyone who competed in this past weekend’s sectionals outing. Some great memories (and I should know, I videotaped most of ’em!).
I’d like to extend my congratulations to everyone who competed in this past weekend’s sectionals as well. It was a lot of fun for me to cheer all of you on. All of you represented CrossFit DC very well.
Congratulations also to John and Jane! John, I noticed the error in your original post; but I wasn’t going to comment on it. 🙂 Besides, there is CrossFit Kids. 🙂
Thank you everyone for your support and kind words. No, I’m still not going to wear the trophy around my neck (too “Flavor Flav”) or use it as a hood ornament on my vehicle. 🙂 🙂
CFDC’s own ODB…is working on a new intermediate deadlift PR: 455 pounds.
