The focus on this movement has to be on getting down fast. This is not to be a press/BTN jerk into an OHS, you should lock your arms out as you are hitting rock bottom. Of course, that is a skill to be worked on, and not an easy one to master, so look for this movement more regularly.

This weekend was another busy one for various competitions. Mike Choi competed in New Jersey, and just missed out on qualifying for the Pan American Weightlifting Championship. Mike is a great resource for CFDC, and training really hard, so make sure to commend him for some big lifts! I haven’t heard from Chrissy on her first 10K, or Tom A on his daughters regatta. Next weekend Reggie and Jim Bathhurst lift in VA.
