    gotta love the fat-bar. worked with Dan, Reggie and Sebastian for the DL’s. Hit 363 for 5, and 385 for 2. Lifts felt good, and felt like I was driving more with my legs for the initial lift-off. For the metcon I grouped up with Diane and Erika (Team Saltines = Awesome!); my partners looked awesome while I spent the 15 min. sucking wind.

    Also, good to have Chrissy back, and a warm welcome to Laura – nice work ladies.

    I really liked the way that team workout went. Very close, and great teamwork and motivation. Thanks to Salty and Sara for helping coach on the deadlifts.

    just channeling the good coaching I’ve received man.

  4. Sara says:

    I worked with Deano and Greg. We all worked up to 175lbs. Great job to the newer guys. Weight seemed very light for me even with a parallel grip, but I didn’t have much choice. With the arm I had to keep it light.

    Welcome back Chrissy and welcome to Laura. I didn’t get to introduce myself to you but hopefully you will be back and I can introduce myself then.

    @Tom – Ditto Salty’s comment.

    @Salty: Yes, you gotta love the fat bar. 🙂 I admit that I wasn’t going to use it at first, but then I thought “Why not?” 🙂

    I worked up to 363#x5, and my lifts felt pretty good. This was the first time (that I can recall) that I used the fat bar for deadlifts. Hey, all that grip work after class paid off. 🙂

    My legs (and mind) did not feel like box-jumping; thus, I spent most of my reps doing step-ups. I did manage to get a few box jumps here-and-there though. Great work by my teammates Dino (“Pete”) and Christy (“Julie”).

    [Yes, that makes me “Link” to complete the “Mod Squad” analogy. :-)]

    Any time (heavy) deadlifts are involved, I’m loving it. 🙂
