Sunday we took class outside for a park workout. After running Elements in nearby Mitchell Park, we took the 10 AM group down to Calvert Hill. It was great to see the general level of activity around that area, including some “interesting” pullup, pushup and squat variations. After a few PVC pass throughs, we warmed up with:
5 ROUNDS
10 OVERHEAD SQUATS
5 BURPEES

Then on to the main workout:
5 ROUNDS
21 SWINGS
12 PULLUPS
3X SHUTTLE RUN

Felt great to get an outdoors on such a nice morning!

This was a lot of fun even if I didn’t so much. I had a blast playing on the pull-up bars. It was also dun to see so many people our as Tom said.

Thanks Chris for sharing the photo album & Steph for taking the photos

    CrossFit math:

1.5 pood kettlebell swings x 105 reps = destroyed hamstrings.

    See you guys on Tuesday.

Crossfit Math using the Salty method:
1.5 pood KB swings x 105 reps / 1 butt pat from Sebastian = warm fuzzies.

I truly love outdoor workouts and had a blast on Sunday. I think a few more guerrilla WODs are in order. I know Reggie was sounding the call; who else is up for some repeat outdoor performances?

I’m up for more outdoor picture-taking opportunities, as long as no mosquitoes are involved!!! 😀
