You know it, you love it, it’s 15 minutes of work, 17 minutes of excitement:
Any questions? Well, in fact, there was one (courtesy of our own Maiko Davidson!):
Once everyone stood up, it was time for a little reward…
Many thanks again to Sticky Fingers bakery and Great Lakes Brewing Co. for their donations – they were MUCH appreciated!

Fight Gone Bad V |

nice work everyone!!! 😀
Fight Gone Bad on Saturday was a neat experience. I’ve done the workout before, but have always had to substitute exercises, i.e., 45# barbell thrusters for wall ball, weightlifting bench for a box on box jumps, and a non-C2 rower for rowing. It was awesome to finally do it as rx’d and find my actual score.
I ended up with a score of 288. I worked my tail off; however, looking back on it, it’s easy to remember wasting precious seconds trying to catch your breath. 300 is an obvious target for next time. I really admire anyone who scored above me — Dan, Chris, and Mark — because I know how hard they must have been pushing. Also, I’m blown away by some of the scores I see other CrossFitters hitting. I can’t even fathom how much capacity is needed to score above 400!
In any event, it was an awesome way to spend a Saturday morning and I’m glad that I used the opportunity to push myself to a new level. See you Tuesday.
I’m proud of all the CFDC crew for their effort and dedication. We had some nice scores and PR’s, but the support and camaraderie were even more impressive. CFDC has now hit the $3000 fundraising mark (although you can still chip in). I was also happy to see descent technique in the midst of such a demanding workout.
so what’s the next fun CFDC event?? 😀
On topic – congrats on hitting the $3k mark CFDC! Hopefully I’ll have my shit together next year & be able to donate. I haven’t done the actual workout since 11/2008, so I guess I’m waaay overdue for another go too.
The b-e-e-r was by far the best part of the workout.
Scored 292. First time I’ve done this, so I don’t have a reference other than the ass-whooping Dan and Chris gave to everyone. Such a mental workout…how do you get your body to squeeze out just 20-30% more output?? Shouldn’t be that hard, right?
Also, I like the idea that came up after the event of “drunk fight gone bad”. This is the scaled version where you have to chug a full beer during each of the rest minutes. Any takers?
AWESOME work everyone!!! I can’t think of a more fun group of people to do FGB with on a Saturday morning. thanks for having me 🙂
