Forties & Fit

A few weeks ago, we posted a little blurb about our own Tom A. traveling out to TJ’s Gym in Novato, California for the 2011 NorCal 40’s Competition. The competition was only for CF athletes between the ages of 40 and 49, and Tom A. was the only non-Cali representative in attendance.

As a follow up to the competition, CrossFit HQ just posted a video from the event, complete with action shots and interviews, and seeing as how Tom A. gets some well deserved screen time, we figured we post it here too:

Way to represent Tom!

Nice Video! Tom you look great and that looks like it was a ton of fun!

As someone who is in the same age bracket as Tom, let me first say to Tom: Way to represent, bro!

Second, if only there were a local competition along the lines of the NorCal 40. (I agree with the comment the those of us in our forties are overlooked.) Hmmm…is anyone listening? 🙂

Way to go, Tom and all my fellow 40-somethings.

Now if only they’ll abolish the sumo deadlift high pull for the sake of our old shoulders … and everyone else’s.
