While we don’t have swimming pools to run around while trying to achieve spiritual enlightenment, we do have a church, and that church sits on a rather conveniently metered block. After a few brave souls ran through Open Qualifiers 11.3, the rest of the dominant life forms got down to their own WOD:
1000 meters is equal to a block run + church run (i.e., leaving from the back door, do a full lap of the block – Phelps to California to 23rd to S to Phelps – and the run past the back door and enter the gym through the parking lot off of California).
OK, OK, so the post was late today – between a finicky dishwasher this morning and a fincky Blogger site this afternoon, things were not working in my favor. But it’s up, and I am hoping to see a few more comments than the last post.
I mentioned them, but hats off to Dan, Julia, Mark and Tom A. for some awesome work on 11.3! Good luck to everyone competing tomorrow, both in the Oly Comp. and out at the NoVa Open.
Great job on the 11.3 wod Dan, Julia, Mark and Tom!!
It was nice to make it to a Thursday class and spend some time on the court. I subbed the 1k run with biking, got off the bike when the last person came back from the run. Then for the court portion, I skipped the double-unders (tears~~~), did the thrusters, and did pre-natal burpees in place of regular burpees. Had a nice sweat going on, it felt good.
Hip has been feeling pretty good for 2 weeks, but it’s always the 3rd and 4th week where I get careless and fuck it up again. Going to be extra careful this time.
Have a friend in town Saturday night and staying with us, but hoping to make it to class Sunday morning still.
