Probably my best game face of all time. Can’t wait to get back to DC next week and get back at it!

I actually liked this workout, which is quite surprising considering the box jumps. However, the pacing of this metcon was perfect. Alternating between partners gave me just enough time to catch my breath and be able to attack each movement with solid intensity. Also I was able to stick to with box jumps the whole time, on a 20″ box to boot! I usually lose faith in my legs’ ability to execute what my brain is telling them to do and switch to step ups. But yay!!

Kenna, your box jumps looked great! Congrats on sticking with them!

I agree, this was a fun workout! It was awesome working with Steph…she is so fast that she pushes me to go faster too. I appreciated her scaling up to a 24″ box and 35# DB to allow me extra rest time! 😀 I went with 18″ step-ups and 15# DB. I was a little worried about the squat cleans after struggling with goblet squats on Wednesday, but they actually felt okay! This was a great opportunity to focus on pulling under in the clean without worrying about the bar crushing me. The amount of rest was great, I agree with Kenna that it allowed me to really sprint on each movement.
