(Re)Introducing CrossFit DC’s Open Gym Programming

Welcome/Welcome Back! This is CrossFit DC’s second iteration of an Open Gym program, and we’re excited about the updates to the Open Gym programming, and what it will mean for our members.

Here’s the deal: each week, we’ll post a new program here on the Open Gym page – these won’t be workouts in the traditional sense, but will instead be progressions designed to help you improve on particular skills and technique outside of a class setting. Each program will be broken down into steps so that you can work up to the limits of your abilities, giving you both the tools and objectives for advancing to the next step. The workout will be posted Friday nights, and will remain the Open Gym programming until the following Friday. You may do the workout as many times as you like, but only during posted Open Gym hours.

There are no prerequisites abilities for the programming (beyond having an unlimited membership with access to Open Gym hours). However, certain guidelines may be suggested at times, and it will be up to you to follow these guidelines. Comments are readily encouraged, whether they be successes, questions, or just general comments on frustrating aspects of certain movements. The more you tell us, the more we know, and the better the programming becomes.
