Call us sentimental, but we really do think some moments are worth freezing in time — whether for posterity’s sake; or maybe just as a cool reminder, come July and August, that no season lasts forever around here!

Starting January 22, 2016, an epic snowstorm of historic proportions — if meteorologists and historians alike are to be believed — blanketed our nation’s capital. The city shut down; the federal government closed down. The trains stopped running, and businesses all around town closed up shop.
