Focus 1: Snatch Pull & Snatch
Focus 2: Elevated Snatch Extension

After the success of our last class focusing on the difference between snatching from the hang and snatching-from-the-floor, we thought we’d give it another go this coming Saturday. This time however, we’ll shine the spotlight a little more little more on taking lifts from the floor, including a new exercise for those who need just a little more help getting the hang of pulling from the floor. Class will include:

  • Introduction and practical review of the pulling from the floor versus pulling from the hang, as well as combining the pulls and lifts;
  • Follow-up review of the Elevated Snatch Extension, focusing on how to properly lift the bar from the floor while maintaining control of the hips;
  • Explanation of common coaching cues;
  • Determining how much weight to use during class; and,
  • Scaling and substitution options for the Base Camp workout of the week, including how and when to choose a scaling/sub option
