Dr. Paul Glodzik is the owner and head chiropractor of Washington Injury and Sports Performance Clinic, and has been practicing for 10 years. He is licensed to provide several types of treatment, including active release technique (ART), Graston, and dry needling.

Paul’s lifelong love of sports inspired him treat pain and injury as a chiropractor. Paul grew up playing Amherst Knights youth hockey in Buffalo, NY. He went on to become a SUNY Buffalo hockey player while earning his undergraduate degree. He also began playing rugby at Buffalo, and after moving to DC played semi-professional union rugby for the Potomac Athletic Club and league rugby for the DC Slayers. He now plays pick-up hockey in two area leagues and competes in the occasional triathlon.

Paul works with athletes who compete in many sports. In 2012 Paul became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician for USA Weightlifting competitions. He has worked with three DC semi-professional rugby teams, DC Triathlon Club, and DC Roadrunners to provide injury treatment, preventative conditioning, and stride technique. Paul has also worked with teen athletes, including as Sports Performance coach with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Football team, Ashburn Extreme Junior Hockey teams, and Virginia Wild Junior Hockey teams.

Paul completed his undergraduate degree at New York State University of Buffalo, and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in 2008. While completing his chiropractic degree, he won a pathology fellowship and completed research on the biomechanics of human joints.

TREATMENTS:
Chiro & Soft Tissue Package:
Chiropractic adjustments correct spinal and neural misalignment, relieving muscle, joint and nerve pain; combined with manual soft tissue massage targeting trigger points by using the patient’s natural joint motions, releasing muscles and fascia to move freely.

Chiropractic Adjustment:
Chiropractic adjustments performed by a licensed doctor correct spinal and neural misalignment, relieving muscle, joint and nerve pain

Soft Tissue Massage/Treatments:
(A.R.T.) Active Release Technique – a manual soft tissue massage targeting trigger points by using the patient’s natural joint motions, releasing muscles and fascia to move freely.
(G.T.) Graston Technique – stainless instruments are applied to the affected body part to break up scar tissue and adhesions, promoting healthy circulation and healing.

Dry Needling Treatment:
Disrupts pain signals in trigger points by inserting thin needles between nerves and soft tissue, reducing irritation and pain.

Cupping Therapy:
Applying silicone cups to the skin decompresses muscle tissues, which alleviates lactic acid and myofascial build-up, and expedites detoxification and healing.

Treatments will begin the week of 5/27 and will have an ongoing schedule moving forward as listed:

Wednesdays,7-9pm at U St
Sundays, 10-12 at H St

Members will be able to choose either a 15 or 30 minute session ($35/65) for all treatment options included.
