What do you do when you’re not crushing workouts at the gym?
I finally have a place with a yard this year and absolutely love growing my garden. Currently on hiatus from teaching yoga, but will return! Most of my time I am doing everything chiropractic. You can find me at Positively Chiropractic in Annandale, VA, and SJ Chiropractic in DC. Soon I will also be at the DC VA Medical Center, so I am in the process of cloning myself.
What is a goal you’re currently working towards (in the gym or beyond)?
Gym – Oly form, butterfly, and Muscle Ups
Beyond – Get more Virginia co-sponsors for H.R.2654: Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act
Favorite and least favorite CrossFit movements/workouts?
Favorite – Toes to bar, Front/Back squats
Least – Chest to bar Pull Ups, Handstand Push Ups
What is one coaching cue/tip that has helped you recently?
Remember to engage posterior chain prior to performing an Oly lift to help with hip extension.
What is something you wish you knew about CrossFit when you first started?
Learn proper Oly form from the start so you only train good technique and poor form doesn’t get into your system in the first place.
